Information, not medical advice

RedLightLog's tools and guides are for general information. Dose calculations, schedules, evidence grades and anything else on the site describe what published trials and reviews reported and what device makers publish; they are not medical advice, do not diagnose or treat any condition, and do not promise any result. Group averages from trials are not personal forecasts. Talk to a doctor before using red light therapy if you are pregnant, have epilepsy, an active cancer, a photosensitive condition or take medication that makes skin sensitive to light, and whenever a symptom is getting worse.

Safety

You are responsible for using your device as its maker instructs. Never stare into LEDs or laser diodes, wear the eye protection supplied with a high-power device, keep devices away from children, and never shine any device into an eye to treat an eye condition at home.

Cleared is not proven

Where the site says a device is "FDA cleared", it means the maker obtained a 510(k) premarket notification by showing substantial equivalence to a legally marketed predicate device. It does not mean the device has been shown to produce a particular result, and the site never uses the word in that sense.

Accuracy

We check facts against the sources named on each page and date every price and spec, but studies are revised, makers change their pages and devices vary. We cannot promise that everything is current or error free. If you spot a mistake, please email us.

RedLightLog is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any device maker, retailer, clinic, regulator or other app. Brand names appear only to describe their products and belong to their owners. If the site ever carries affiliate links, every page that includes one will say so at the top.

You may use the tools and read the guides for personal use. Please do not copy the site's content wholesale, scrape it, or use it in a way that harms the site or other people.
